Description
Situated in Manchester city centre, Deluna is an apartment block made up of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Base Fire Sprinklers were appointed to design, supply and install a residential sprinkler system to serve the new build block. The system, designed to BS9251:2014 was installed to apartments only in line with the requirements of the fire strategy. Base Fire Sprinklers took a connection from the clients boosted cold water riser on each floor to feed the sprinkler system.
All apartments were provided with sprinkler protection throughout, including the utility cupboards as these were over 2m2 in area.
Base Fire Sprinklers worked with the M&E contractor to coordinate the head layouts with other services to ensure no clashes whilst maintaining the required coverage.
This marked the initial project with a new client, with whom we established a robust bond, subsequently leading us to successfully complete several more projects together.
